| 5 | To receive and consider updates from Committee Chairs in relation to meetings held since the previous Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council meeting on 1 October or any items arisen since then: Committee: Community and Engagement Committee Chair: Cllr K Gibbs Committee: Village Hall Committee Chair: Cllr McIntyre Meeting held on 22 October (Minutes attached) Items for consideration: Members RECOMMEND an adjustment to week day charges from 1 April 2026. A four hour booking would rise from £35 to £36 per session. Concessions would remain as 16 weeks for the price of 12. It is recommended that Full Council approve the closure of the Village Hall on the following days to support local events and for hall management purposes: • Shavington Village Festival: Closure on the day of the event, in line with Village Festival Hiring policy. • Remembrance Service: Closure in the morning only. • Christmas Eve through 2nd January: Closure, except for any long-term bookings. Committee: Environment and Recreation Committee Chair: Cllr Cruickshank Meeting held on 8 October (Minutes attached) Committee: Finance & Strategy Committee Chair: Cllr C Wain Committee: Staffing Committee Chair: Cllr Cruickshank Meeting held on 15 October (Minutes attached) Items for consideration: Members RECOMMEND to Full Council an adjustment to the Staffing TOR to Full Council, to update the recruitment process. (attached) Members RECOMMEND an adjustment to the job description of the Communication and Events Officer role to Full Council. Members RECOMMEND the proposed recruitment process and advert to Full Council. Members RECOMMEND to Full Council that the Clerk’s pay is updated to SCP 35, backdated to 3 September on completion of CiLCA, under the condition that this is within the 18 month timescale. Members RECOMMEND to Full Council an update to the Community Managers contracted hours to 20 hours per week, temporarily from 1 November – 31 April 2026, to be reviewed at that point.
